Today is turning out to be so frustrating.
We went to Braiden's 15 mo. check up, and it seemed to be going really well. Until the Dr. said that they would look at Braiden's immunizations to decide if he needed some shots this visit. We waited for 30-40 minutes in the room and no one came back, so I thought they probably decided he'd already gotten the shots in question. We packed up our stuff and went out to ask the receptionist if the nurse forgot to give us back his immunization sheet.
The receptionist brought it out to us, so we left. We got home, and were just climbing the stairs to the apartment when the nurse called on the phone and said we forgot to get our shots. She also said we should head back to the clinic and let them know when we were there. Erg. At this point it was about 1/2 past when I needed to start lunch.
So we turned around and went back to the clinic. We talked to the receptionist who seemed to think we were crazy (though she didn't say so and was not actually straight out rude), and she put us on a waiting list- 40 minutes later we actually got called to get Braiden's shots.
It is about a 15 minute ride to the clinic from our house.. and it just seems like such a waste of time to me- almost enough so that I am not excited about going back for Braiden's next appointment. But I think I will give them one more chance.
Anyhow, we got home and I just realized as a result of our morning spent waiting on the clinic, Braiden should have been down for his nap 45 minutes ago. He brought me a book and pretended to be all into the nap time routine, but then he's playing the pop out of bed game. He gets out of his crib and comes out into the living room with this look that says, 'hey mom, guess what! i'm awake and ready to play'.
*sigh*
At least this kind of stress is easy to handle.
